Comments:

Well, that was frustrating. Was going gangbusters on 40 until 0245, then
panadapter showed thinning of the herd, so went to 80. After just 2 Qs I
realized that I had set the ATU using 4:1 balun but was operating with balun
switch in 1:1 mode, hence high SWR. Probably should have kept that setting even
though the SWR was sky high - it made Qs without RFI, strangely enough. When I
re-tuned for low SWR, the whole computer froze up - no mouse, no keyboard even
after repeated unplugging and repluggings to reset the USB hub. Lost a good 7-8
minutes before I abandoned the computer and switched to the K7SS logger (ball
point enhanced!). Sorry for the QLFs at 30 WPM on the paddle.

I can understand 15 meters may be gone for the season, but 20, too?

Merry Christmas to all, and I'll be back next week, hopefully having figured out
the cure to my 80 meter self-induced RFI.

73,
MikeNH
