Hello from Makiki! (POTA K-2222)
KX2 and 21 ft endfed, and 17ft crappie pole (as mast and walking stick)
I am finally back on Oahu! I hiked up here, and set up, and got my first contact
in (Greg W0GAS), when I got attacked by mosquitoes! I forgot about mosquitoes.
Anyways, I tried to last as long as I could, but was threatened by rain and wild
pigs, so opted to pack it up and head down. It was the right choice - started
getting wet on the way down, and I'm still low energy, and this is about at my
limit.
I had so much fun though! I have missed these trails so much, I was so happy to
be up here. :-)
