Thanks for the good advice... the issue is that most of these places just
display stacks of boxes and have no actual displays. I have a TH-F6A and a
small AM/SW receiver, so I can do some detective work if there are units to see.

WRT existing offending products on the market, fret not! Time will heal this
if the law and regulations go.in the right direction.
Well I am old enough to remembrr the days before the Goldwater Act that placed
some interference immunity requirements on TVs and radios. Before then it was
purely a "consumer right/ ham wrong" world. Over time things got better as old
receivers went by the wayside and new ones came online. This will happen with
all sorts ofbthings goong forward.
The other element was the advent of cable and satellite TV. That helped,
though there were cases where their installations were problematic to hams. I
can even recall a situation where 150 feet from my house, a neighbor had
computer speakers somehow demodulating my 10W 2m FM signal. In that case I
made it clear that their $10 computer speakers were at fault and they got
better speakers.
Buckle up! It's going to be a fun ride as it has been for me since I was 5
years old with a crystal set. :-)

Money does tend to drive things, however the ARRL has made great
progress, in getting some items corrected, despite the lobbying that I
am sure goes on with regards to this sort of thing.
It is a slow, careful, fight, but one worth entering, so bravo to the
ARRL for what they are doing on the RFI front. It would be nice if the
FCC did more, but they too have limited funds, like the ARRL.
