The benefit you'll most likely see from running power leads to the battery is reduced alternator whine. It isn't likely to affect the car's CPUs, but it can make the radio sound bad. This is an audio effect, not RF. The alternator produces considerable audio-frequency ripple current, and the battery is the shunt filter that reduces that "power supply hum". The battery terminals usually are the quietest points in the 12V power system.
