I have had the 2 el Cushcraft 40 M yagi since 1988. It has held up beautifully, only requiring one "rebuild," i.e., renewing seriously worn parts, once in the past 20 years. I run a LOT of RTTy CONTESTS with a full, 1,500 WATTS into it and have never had any problems with it at all. If you see the construction of the loading coils, placed well out on the elements, you'll see why. Go for it!

These antennas work great. The only issues people have been having are with the screws on the coils backing out. They are under the black protective covering. Something worth checking on if you have the antenna on the ground.
