Comments:
With time limited I continued to play with the
FT-710 as an alternative to the IC-7300. With
EXPAND off and the waterfall at the bottom the
CW-Memory window was still covering the waterfall
by 2 mm, just enough to lose the real-time connect
to band happening, and also still missing a centering
cursor. Indeed the this Memory-window paralyzes all
other variables settings.
I was called away, and returned for the last few
minutes to check out on 3.5 MHz. Found Timo OH3N
and had to do hard work for over two minutes to
activate e.g.to Break-in to finish the QSO before
the finishing bell.
