Hello from Georgetown, TX!
Same setup as 13z - KX2 + endfed in mom's backyard. However, the noise that has
been bothering me at 13z was gone. Magical! I kind of don't know what to do when
there's so many stations to choose from, so I was mostly on 40m, where it was
less chaos. Managed to make a Hawaii contact (KH6AQ)! And then, things got
rough, and I couldn't quite figure out why everything was suddenly quiet and why
the SWR had changed. My antenna fell down on me, and I didn't notice. Oops!
This has happened to me more than once, and I have made contacts with my ground
antenna, but no luck today.
