Some recent posts have asked for M/S and M/2 techniques. Just as a curiosity, does anyone have a very clear-cut definition that could show the difference between M/S and M/2?

M/S allows one signal to be CQing.
M/2 allows for two signals to be CQing.
Usually M/S allows the non-run station to work multipliers.
For best results, you'll need at least two stations for M/S and three stations for M/2. That will allow
for a station to be listening to non-run band in order to catch propagation changes etc.
M/S requires a fair amount of strategy and teamwork between operators. M/2 is closer to a M/M without all
the bands going at once. During the day 20/15 are going to be the bands since 10 is dying out now. During the evening, most likely 80/40 will take up most operating time with 160/20 in spots.

I think M/S is more strategic and challenging. On M/2 there are more qso's to be done. There is a very nice article by Ken WM2C aount M/S that is worth to be looked up.
