I am usinga xp hp media center w5xd/k5dj multikeyer and ft100mp markv and sure could use some help getting it to send cw. could someone with this setup give me some insight....Can windows xp send cw from serial port ? If anyone has the time, i would gladly acept a collect call to 205 648 0567 any time of day or night. I really enjoiy writelog but sure miss being able to send cw with it since getting new computer. 73 bob

Got the same problem with my FT1000MP.
I did solve it making the following:
- Go to My Computer, click Properties Hardware and then Device Manager - Ports - COM - Port Settings
- Flow Control - Xon/Xoff
Press ok and reboot the computer.
Know try to transmit by the com port
If you are using COM2 or 3 make the same procedure.
