RTTY Operations Reply
by WG1Z on January 4, 2004 Mail this to a friend!
I'm sure I'll get a lot of responses and a lot of flack for my dumb question. Thank you though for taking the time to respond as I have tried looking thru RTTY operation procedures and can't find the instructions for clearing the buffer so that what remains in the buffer won't be sent. I am using a KAM Kantronic. I use the <Ctrl-C>T and <Ctrl-C>R directives to control the Xmit/Rcv functions but how do I clear the buffer either before or after the <Ctrl-C>R directive?

Thank you again for responding and so sorry if you were one of my contacts and received a lot of garbage stored in my buffer. Once I get this settled my Operating Sklls shoud improve by leaps and bounds!!!

Joe. You might want to inform Buckmaster that your are not a SK! If I understand what you are asking, at the top of the screen, click on file, then "edit xmit buffers". You will then need to indicate which buffer you wan to edit. Then simply remove all unwanted information contained in that buffer. Save it and repeat until you have what you want. If this doesn't answer your question, email me...k4ww@arrl.net.

control-X

as described in the KAM manual, in the command CANLINE.

Technical Service @ Kantronics)

I sent them an email on this as I couldn't find it anywhere!
