I'm planning on buying an 8 port Byterunner card (PCI) which I expect to function when running TR. I run TR in Win98 SE. Mark's comment makes me wonder if I'm about to make a mistake and buy something I can't use.

Comments?

Hi David:

The new TR version is going to be IRQ-aware. I believe
Tree indicated that he would support shared IRQ's. CT,
for instance, doesn't.

Tree, do I remember that correctly? I hope so! :-)

I am wanting to get some 4-port cards for my

dedicated TRlog machines. The

archive discussions all seem to be quite old, so I

wonder what the hot tip

is these days?

------------------------------

Byterunner and SIIG both make good ISA boards with four
serial ports.

With the Byterunner, the four ports can share the same
IRQ.
I'm using one of these.

Sometimes IRQ's, even the high ones, are hard to come
by.
