Actually, I didn't say it did.  Reread my comment (included below) about the
Eico HF-20, which is actually a pair of 6L6s.  The HF-20 would be connected
to the diode load on the 390 or 390A.

The SP-600 has a single-ended 6V6.  Stock audio (ok, with a mod or two)
isn't too shabby, and it's the best SWL band-cruiser ever.
