Comments:

Conditions were pretty good. It is what I call a “hub year”. In peak years I
run up 2500 QSO’s. And in the slack years, maybe a few hundred, if that.
Conditions were different on both days. In fact my daily QSO rates were quite
similar (83-Sat, 75-Sun). I started late on Saturday (15:15Z), but started with
monster rates. Locally, it was reported that the band was in and out at 13:30Z
on Saturday. At this same time on Sunday, the band was fully involved. After a
while, I noticed that the band was going in and out. A fade would happen, things
got quiet, and the rates dropped. Then it suddenly picked right back up and
everyone was calling CQ on top of me.

One thing I noticed was that Eastern Europe was missing. No Russia, Ukraine,
Belarus, Serbia, Romania, Greece, Turkey etc. But in the other direction, I had
a good number of AK and HI in the log, plus VK, ZL and FK8. There were a lot of
DX south of the border in the log.

Best conditions in many years and I didn’t work too hard for this one.
