My first time operating sweeps in QRP and had a blast (also first contest at new
QTH)! Purchased a few months ago a KX3 and was using a bioenno 20Ah battery
which gave more then enough juice for the contest. I used an end fed w/wire
only up about 7-8' in my yard and above the pool in lieu of limitations. I have
to say... It was truly an amazing experience at 5 watts that surprised me
while making contact with almost all sections west of Wisconsin as well as a
handful on the east coast, furthest being WMA and both SNJ/NNJ. Appreciate the
patience many stations had in literally pulling me out of the noise while also
testing my patience in the process.
