Maybe I should have listed this entry as M/2 as I surely invited Calamity Jane
to ride with me for the 10 hours! By now pretty much everyone knows it's not
good practice to download logging software updates just prior to a contest.
Anyone with any sense would know not to download a firmware update for their rig
as well. Not me! I'm not sure the update is the cause, but when I transmit, my
signal is displayed on both MMTTY displays, so to do SO2R I couldn't watch the
signal from the second rig while transmitting on the other. That's just the
beginning, but I won't go further with that. Later in the evening number of
lines of thunderstorms cruised through the area. Didn't hear a peep out of VT,
DE, GA, WY or WV! Still great fun! Tks or the Qs.
