Comments:

Things did not seem to go as planned here ... 9.5 hours of "Butt in
Chair." The other 2.5 hours were devoted to chasing K3 problems. Ugh. First
K3 had a "High Current" issue that rolled the power back by 50% on 40
and 80, my usual money bands at this QTH. I switched to a second K3 and got
rolling then it decided, "the computer is not going to key me." So I
had to switch back to the first K3 and finish with half power on 40 and 80.
Maybe I should have grabbed the "S" line. It seemed as if the sun
spots may not have been behaving as I could only generate short, sporadic runs
... many minutes (too many) CQing and too many minutes of no calls. Even though
I am on top of a hill, the KT34 up 17' didn't produce. Yes, 17'. The YL's lot is
covered with two huge Oaks and either a 100', self supporting tower in the
neighborhood or 17' to turn it bellow the limbs, and 6' above a metal roof, BUT
it usually does OK for stateside events.
