I would be interested in communicating with other users of the ICOM 756, 756PRO, and 756PROII - in a manner similar to the TenTec archives listed on contesting.com. Are others out there interested? Thanks

There is a group for the 756 Pro II
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ic756pro2/
I did not find a group for the entire 756-series.

ICOM 756 Pro users question: I have a Pro I radio with an oddity, or so I think. When I connect a Iambic key to the internal keyer jack and attempt to run cw, I find the certain letters very touchy, almost impossible to form. It's so annoying that I simply disconnect that direct key and go back to my mfj econokeyer which works beautifully and produces excellent CW charecters. I did attempt to adjust every parameter available on the 756 to see if it made a diff but unfortunately, it did not. Go figure. I dawned on me finally to locate a users group of other 756 pro owners who may (or may not) experience similar issues with the internal keyer. Anyone have comments one way or the other. If yours works well, I may very well have had a defective rig on my end. Thanks in advance. NN2L
