WWSA 2006 Announcement

Hello everyone:
After exchanging some ideas with Alberto -LU1DZ- in order to promote the WWSA contest, I designed some banners to add in web pages.
I did them in a very simple way, any question or suggestion please ask me.
Be carefull when copying the codes, since if some characters are changed,the banner won't work.

First option: FLASHING BANNER
Following text (HTML code) must be included in the place where you want the banner to work

On both options the banner will be downloaded from my web page, in that way any update, for instance year 2007, will be automatically performed.
On next days I will make both versions in spanish langauge. I will let you know.

This is other Contest and Logging Software that support the WWSA under the old name of GACW CW DX Contest.
Although many contests are already configured in AIO you can create a new contest setup by using the contest setup screens. The new setup is a simple matter of copying an existing contest that is close to the new one and then doing a few minor adjustments. The screen shown at the right will let you define the name of the columns on the contest log and tell the system in which data base field to store the information. It also lets you tell the system how to respond during a practice session. For convenience, you can also make note of the web page that has the contest rule.

Hello dear Contesting.com friends:
From the next WWSA 2006, the Antenna EP Editorial from Brazil, will offer a new prize for brazilian stations only.
This will be a Gilberto Affonso Penna PY1AFA Memorial trophy/plaque donated for this famous magazine from Rio de Janeiro.
Gilberto was the WWSA factotum in the WWSA old days.
While we choose the rigth format for it, we want to ask all of you:
Wich is the best category/way to offert it?.

Many thanks for your post.
I think that Maria Beatriz donation of the Gilberto Affonso Penna memorial trophy is a great thing.
There are many CW PYs station/operators and we hope to get a better partitipation from brsilian stations this years.

Several members (who wish to remain anonymous) have volunteered to pay to sponsor an award plaque for the WWSA Contest in the name of SPAR. In keeping with our policy, we are asking for comments.
My personal opinion is that I feel humbled by a gesture from SPAR members whereby they open their checkbooks to show support both for the WWSA CW contest and for SPAR.
