I can't stop drooling... Why are some people so lucky and I am not? This is unfair! :-)

EME Contesting reminds me of the Heinlen book, "The Moon Is A Harsh Mistress"...
Where else can you experiance having to build a big array, generate lots of RF power, Listen for very weak CW with random rading and other anomolies, sleep deprivation from staying up all night, QRM as there are lots of folks on nowadays, and many more maladies I have not mentioned.
Fun? You Bet! The first time I heard my own echoes on 144 Mhz I was blown away. Very loud, easy to copy, and since it was a wednesday night, I was the only one on! CQing for hours yielded not a single QRZ! The ARRL EME contests in the fall are a must! Give a whirl, you wont regret it.
