The Collegiate Amateur Radio Association (CARA) is proud to announce a new contest. The 2002 Collegiate QSO Party will be held 1200 UTC Sept. 21 until 0400 UTC Sept. 22, 2002. HF contest bands only. The purpose of the Collegiate QSO Party is to promote activity at college and university Amateur Radio clubs, and among the collegiate Amateur Radio stations and the ham radio community at large. Bonus points are available for working QRP, contacting collegiate stations and working special CARA station W4C, which will operate from Fairfax County, Virginia during the event. Special QSL available for stations working W4C regardless of whether participating in QSO party. W4C QSL via N3BF, include S.A.S.E. Non-collegiate stations are encouraged to participate in the event.
