Comments:
The run both days was a little slower than expected.
Zones and countries accumulated faster on Saturday than last year, while the
response on band was moderate. As usual, some zones seemed to be unreachable,
then for example KH7M came in on Sunday evening with a good signal. Several
times before that various KH6 calls were tracked at Gosts levels. Same applies
to a number of other Pacific and Far East rare countries. As always,
neighbouring rare countries in EU were difficult to work or not reachable (e.g.
HV0A).
The band was open longer on Sunday, which was a nice unexpected treat. The zone
3 stations kept coming into the log. However, as the activity usually shifts to
the SA and NA region, it is almost impossible to penetrate from the EU.
Otherwise, a few VE7 stations could still be heard when the log was closed.
