Great to check out how the 40 meter dipole works here, as it is below the roof
tops. The keyer here was malfunctioning and had to short the terminals on the
back like a straight key to get through a few of the contacts. Operating from
Mahanoy City, PA, which is the birthplace of Cable TV. Despite being about
1600’ elevation this small town is surrounded on all sides by mountains at
about 2000 feet. To this day can not receive any antenna TV. Have worked a
handful of DX on 6 meters during openings though. Thanks to the stations that
were patient with the keying issues.
