I dislike phone contests but thought it would be a good experiment to see the
propagation difference between NC and my remote in Ontario, Canada. I only
worked S&P for just multipliers and some friends. This operation was
Saturday with my W1 - NC operation Saturday. I tried to keep the operating time
close.

I think the result shows the propagation advantage that NC has and I am 4 hours
from the ocean with compromise antennas. The Longitude is almost the same but
of course the latitude is different. I worked 123 DXCC vs. 118 from NC although
one call was usually all it takes from the better Canadian station (VE3CT). The
"big station" difference was 33 zones from VE3 and 29 from NC. It was
a lot more work from NC. Conditions were pretty good from both both Saturday
and Sunday.
