Comments:

Was really looking forward to this session on a Federal holiday, but it turned
out badly. Little activity on 10 or 15 just before the start so started out on
20M. Lost the F keys after a few minutes and had to send all by hand with the
paddle for the rest of the hour. Computer says it is denied access to Com3.
This has been a recurring problem lately, but I have always kept rig control
until today. It stopped tracking frequencies on 20M, but I didn't realize it
until I changed to 15M when 20 was running out of new callers and the comuter
said my first QSO was a dupe. Usually I get a prompt to change to manual band
entry and that would be OK, but I didn't get that prompt. Had to send by hand
and erase and reenter the frequency for every QSO thereafter. A nightmar!
Probably could have done as well with just an electronic keyer with no memories
and logging on paper. Glad to work a few Europeans on 20 and 15. Thanks for
all qSOs. Now I am going to try shutting down the computer and restarting it.
Sometimes that fixes problems like this and sometimes it doesn't. 73, John,
K4BAI
