Comments:

A fun contest as always with two old operators and one really good cook. We
started off with one full time op then the second op joined about half way
through.

There seemed to be less activity this year than in previous years because we ran
out of CQ responses early. When that occurred we cleaned of the spots on our
dupe checking screen and went back to CQing again, ping ponging back and forth
to keep our rate up.

We had great time on 10 meters and a great time on 160 meters and every band in
between. KB3VQC remarked while he was on 40 meter "this is really fun to
call CQ and have stations continually come back to you especially from
Europe." The bands seemed less noisy this weekend. We were surprised at
the number of YB, BY, JA, ZL and VK stations we worked plus the Falklands, Figi,
and other Pacific area. Never did get Cook Island.

All the equipment performed well because we ran it at one half power or slightly
less to keep from burning it up considering this mode is 100% full duty cycle
and very hard on transceivers and amps. However the old Heathkit SB220 and and
SB221's are work horses and my pairs of 813 have very heavy duty power supplies
making them suitable of contesting.

As always the food was outstanding due to the cooking of N3DPB.

By 07:30Z we had had enough fun and took a couple hours of rest before finishing
the contest.

We thank all those who came back to us and hope to contact you again.

73 from our tiny team this time,
WA3EKL KB3VQC N3DPB
