Comments:

SJ2W M/S with 3 ops. SM2MTR, SM2LIY and SM2WMV (with plenty of sleep).

Propagation's were rough.

The start was horrible and 40m never really delivered any good DX runs (88%
Europe) which I believe is where we lost ground most to the others. 10m was only
good towards east. On Saturday it never opened up to US or even to South
America. It was better on Sunday but still not good enough where KQ2M peaked
around S8 at best, so we decided to stay on 15m where runs were decent. We had a
fun struggle with IB9A on the online scoreboard but unfortunately with 2-3 hours
left there was another aurora outburst and we had to go to 40m and try to get at
least some points of running Europe.

Lets hope we have more luck with mother nature next year so we can try to have a
competitive result again (it has happened 🙂 ) and improve some Scandinavian
record. At times 40m has been our best band but now it is starting to feel like
ages ago that happened.

I wish they would go back to the old M/S rules that are the same as CQWW. I
think the purpose when they introduced the new rules were to make it easier for
small stations to be competitive in M/S, but in fact they just made inband
operation even more important making it harder for small guns. WPX was more fun
before this rule change where you at least had plenty of mults to hunt from the
multiplier station on Saturday.
