Missing the wonderful conditions and great runs into Europe of years ago. Was
plagued by an existing RFI issue and sadly was greeted with a new RFI problem on
the second night, rendering several Beverages almost useless at times. So a BIG
TU for those who hung in there and gave multiple repeats. Memorable moments of
the Contest included being asked, "do you have a few minutes?" by Jeff
K1ZM. Answering yes, of course, and then being paid complements by someone of
his caliber. Add to that, being "checked in on", by Jeff's younger
Brother, Peter K3ZM, several times during the Contest. Also,"working"
so many of those you just simply expect to hear, those you have worked so many
times that their call is simply "burnt" into your brain, to the point
you don't even need to hear the full Call before you know who it is. Lastly
Congrats to the fine OP at K1LZ, Peter K3ZM, and Brian VE3MGY for a "fine
job, well done". You guys kicked butt!! Wish like heck I could hear what
you guys do!!!!!
