Comments:
Operating "portable" from our condo in Vero Beach, FL. FTdx10, 100W.
Antennas are ham sticks on a second floor balcony - one for each band. Band
changes took about a minute. As the frequency goes down, ham sticks become more
and more like a big coil with a tiny whip. On 80 I'm basically running a dummy
load. I did manage several QSOs with EU on 80...somehow. 10 was terrific. 100
watts and whip were all it took to get a few short runs going. The FTdx10 is a
fantastic radio....really impresive how good the latest radios are. 73, Hal
