Comments:

Wow,

What a weekend with our best friends. We had only a small group and decided to
go M/S. Great laughs, delicious food and terrific operating. Thanks to Dave,
KM3T for getting the FIFA World Cup going on the flat screen in the background.

Personally, I was pretty exhausted due to jet-lag but I had the pleasure of
celebrating my birthday with some of my great friends at the Bavarian Contest
Club in Munich. Thanks to all for coming.

Conditions were good and the station worked for the most part. Some small
switching issues etc. A real highlight was Bill K1GQ re-joining the XX team.
Thanks for making the trip, OM! You are as amazing of an operator as ever.

Everyone had a chance to operate each band and get a feel for the performance of
all antennas. We still have some in-band noise issues but we did ok on the
second, interlocked radio.

9J2REK called in and moved to other bands for us. Good CW op and thanks for the
mults.

When a storm rolled in on Sunday afternoon, we had 3 pretty scary electrical
discharges in the shack. Nobody really knows exactly where it was but the
snapping and lightning was noticeable.

Our team would like to congratulate Krassy, K1LZ and his outstanding team of
construction, engineering and endless efforts to build a world class station.
The ham radio world should be grateful for what K1LZ and his crew has done for
radio and contesting over the years around the globe! The operators in the
tundra of Maine deserve this M/S win and new record. Well done!!

Thanks for all the calls and contacts. CQWW-CW is an amazing event. Sunday
evening was closed with more steak tips, German beer and of course….. a shot
of Jagermeister.

Vy73, Matt KC1XX and the entire XX-family
