Comments:

I decided to operate SOLP this year in memory of our good friend and contester
Paul WN6K. He was *always* SOLP in SS and often won the SDG section, sometimes
SW Div. And he was very a BIS guy for however many hours the contest ran.

I'm NOT that dedicated, but I did make a Clean Sweep, my first in a while. I
agree with Dick W6TK that a Clean Sweep Unassisted is more of a challenge than
assisted.

I went to bed Sat. night (after *finally* finding an LAX station - WA6URY)
needing 3 sections: VE2, VO1 or VO2, and VY1 et al. I wasn't terribly
optimistic. But VE2EZD called me early Sunday morning. Then I found VO1HP on
10m (of all places) and VY1CO on 15m. The Sweep was done by 1730Z (9:30 a.m.
local)! Much to my wife's chagrin, I will buy yet another Clean Sweep coffee
cup. :-)

I had some really good runs on 40 on Sat. evening. I apparently got spotted a
few times on at least a couple of bands, and I was amazed at the instant pileup
- didn't last long, but it was fun!

73 to all de Jim K6ZH
