Comments:
Let's just say I'm glad it's over. The lowbands were bad on Friday and Saturday
night, and only improved slightly around EU sunrise on Sunday morning. I slept
right through my own sunrise on Sunday so I missed any possible Asian openings
on 40 and 80 and undoubtedly left a few good mults on the table.
20 wasn't all that good, surprisingly, but 15 and 10 were on fire during the
day, which was a nice break. Despite trying many times it was impossible to get
a run going on any band on either day. Even with a clear frequency there were
just no callers and rate went to zero. I was far more productive in S&P. I
guess nobody spots North American stations.
The worst part of this is having my call busted by more than 75% of the stations
I was working. There's something to be said for a four-character callsign!
I will not be around for CQWW-CW, although I hope to do at least one of the 160m
events this winter. Already looking forward to ARRL-CW in February.
