Comments:
The band was very spotty on 14 MHz, only open to
MA/NY i.e. K1DJ K1SM K4RUM. From Europe I worked
Alena OK4YL. Yesterday, while working NAC/28 MHz,
ten meters was mainly open to USA Mid-West around
this same time of the evening (our local midnight).
I was running the IC-7300 on a 6-pack of 30 Ah LTO
in series: Lithium-Titanate-Oxide (working range:
-40 C -> +60 C, about -40 F -> + 140 F, good for
Arctic fieldwork: no freeze like with Li-Ion).
The linear (old SB-230) was run from mains 230V.
