Comments:
Goal going in was to exceed the NA5NN M/2 score from last year when we
established the M/2 W5 Call Area/Mississippi record.. Accomplished that by a
considerable margin. We took our usual casual approach, both of us sleeping
several hours Saturday night... Red Beans and rice courtesy of W5UE's wife
Saturday evening probably contributed to that... This was the first major
contest outing for several new station components... Elecraft K4/KPA1500 on Run
1 and OB9-5 for 10-20M and OB40/30 on 40M. Run 2 was one of my old K3s and Alpha
9500. 2nd 10-20M antenna was a Tennadyne T6 raised temporarily about 30' on a
push-up pole... all performed well and we were both very pleased with the K4...
