40M was by far the best band for propagation. In spite of calling CQ on 10M for
a half-hour or so I got zero response and 15M wasn't much better. Around 90% of
my contacts were made by running.
Mid-afternoon I was having a hard time keeping my eyes open so I took a nap.
And by 9PM I was fading again so I called it a night.
