Comments:

Well, that was fun.

Station here is an K3 plus an Expert 1K-FA linear running 700 watts. The linear
has been acting up, throwing a low voltage fault, but it only did that 3 times
this weekend, which is very good. Haven't successfully debugged the problem.
Thoughts?

I'm on a suburban lot with a inverted V with legs wrapped around numerous trees
in a sort of random shape. The apex at 50' and the ends are at 10' so I guess
I'm happy that it tunes up even if it doesn't get out.

Put up a short 180' beverage that was almost never of any use and a Loop on
Ground that was totally useless. Contesting from home is a big difference from
when I had a country place and a 100' tower.

I've discovered that the key to having fun is to turn on the linear but to
pretend I'm operating LP with a good antenna. That makes every pile-up broken
and every run frequency defended feel like a real accomplishment rather than a
birthright. The only time I feel disappointed is when I post my logs, like now,
for instance.

73, and thanks for a great weekend.

Brooke
