JA opening Sunday morning around 7 AM local time was very short, but JA5DQH was
over S9. Never heard EU, KL7, or KH6. Ran the entire contest with the new
IC-705, but with an amp, not QRP. Performance virtually identical to using an
IC-7300. Being an S&P operator only, I struggled finding new stations to
work, though most were worked on the first call. Antenna Marconi T.
