Comments:
More BIC time than I've had in a contest in a while. 15 was the motivation for
that with wonderful conditions. 20 was an absolute zoo and I spent way too much
time there. Local noise made 40 difficult at best and rendered 80 completely
useless.
Highlights were working ZS6TVB and HC2AO 6 minutes apart on 15 Sunday afternoon.
ZM1A was worked Friday night on a nearly dead 15 meeters but I missed a couple
of VK4s that had better signals. Sunday. I worked a local on 10 and 160 for the
mults. After I worked him on 10 I tuned around a bit and was delighted to have a
spotlight opening to PY for bonus mults and QSO points.
Some surprise were the lack of EU on 20, the large number of CO and XE stations
operating, and hearing VE4VT on 20 peaking S6 (Ed is only 100 miles from me in
Winnipeg)! There was also a good complement of KH6s on the air.
