Comments:
Sad not being with the team at The Farm but with a lot of work I put into
filtering and getting stuff inside ready for this weekend, I managed to pull off
a good result.
My original goal was to beat my 2016 best score of 729 x 390 = 599,820. In the
weeks leading up to this, I purchased essentially a whole backup SO2R station
(TS-940S/AT, DXDoubler, cables, etc.) . They were ready to go on my
"work" desk and ironing board (which serves as a mini bar). Specific
goal was just to make 800 Q's.
First time ever making 1K q's with just wire dipoles, and first time ever
cracking 1M *claimed* in a major contest from this location in Aurora, IL.
I had hit my original goal and 1200 was my "stretch goal" at that
point. I hit 1200 with 15 seconds to spare, and he was a mult.
