Found my next projects... Need to build 40M stubs since 80 would basically knock
out 40, even with 80 and 40M HP bandpass filters installed.
Previously, I could run 80 and 40 high power with very little interference, but
upon inspection of the 80M inv-V, I found a section that had brushed up against
the tree that was only held together by 2 strands of copper. The rest had
basically disentegrated. The tree had a big burn mark on it, so my best guess is
that the interference to 40 is because the 80M antenna is arcing. So, 2 projects
now, one to build a 40M stub (which also should help 20M) and forage for parts
at Farm & Fleet to insulate the wire from the tree and replace that leg of
the inv-V.
