Comments:
Before contest I checked 3830 to see when was the last time I entered
ARRL DX SSB All Band Low power. I could not even find one entry.
I know I have done this in the past, but it must of been 20 years ago!
What did I learn?
#1 This contest is really tough for low power guys.
#2 Now I know why it's been 20 plus years since last one!
#3 Find something else to do next year on this contest weekend!
Nice to find VR2XAN and BG7BES on 20 and OY9JD on 40
Between ARRL CW and SSB I spent 74 hours contesting! More time than my
prime years. Oh well glad I could still do it.
I wish I could tell you the whole story about my use of phonetics for my
call to a certain station on 160 meters at 3:00 AM local time when I was
just barely awake. I just couldn't get him to understand my suffix. When I
realized what I finally used
I laughed so hard tears came to my eyes but I never called him again and quickly
changed bands.
