I considered this a part time warm up for next weekend's ARRL DX CW.
Remember BPL?!? Well, they've got it down here on Nevis. On 160, 80 and 40
there's a carrier every few kHz!! It's even noticeable on 20 and 15 but less of
a problem. It's a nightmare if you want to do any S&P.
One of my PVRC brethren commented last year that I was a little weak! Well, I
couldn't tolerate that, so built and carried down here a full sized 20 M beam
that all fit into a 6 ft ski bag. It seems to work well.
On the other bands an inverted vee was used - all were perched about 100 ft off
the deck ocean-side facing NA.
