Comments:
Great time again this year. Tons of RTTY, lot of DX and great (meaning quiet)
band conditions making for a very enjoyable contest. Now the lack of decent
prop on 15m and it's apparent abundance south of the the US is a different
issue, but I digress...
Picked up WV, ND and a couple of other missing mults in the last couple hours to
bring the total up nicely after having lagged the leaders most of the contest.
Gear worked pretty good save for a UPS which picked the middle of the first day
to die bringing the shack computer into blackness. And some kind of problem
with the 15m fixed-SA beam which caused some kind of buzz on 20m that would pop
up - probably some lose joint in that 40 year old KLM beam - that's going to be
fun to track down... By the end of the contest I was thinking "I should
have replaced that one too." All the JK stuff by comparison has been
without fault since putting those up in 2017 & 2018.
And N1MM - which has a colorful history when hammered in hard RTTY contesting -
worked very smooth. The call stack function being nearly flawless! Good job to
the N1MM team and Rick especially for slaving away to make this logger so nice
to use with the "obsolete" RTTY mode.
Looking forward to the upcoming WPX RTTY which is always a fun contest.
