Comments:

I had reservations about this contest with respect to FT8 and SSB activity. I
was partially right. The band opened Saturday, and many stations were on FT8. I
can only stare at the computer screen for so long, so I made my way to SSB. I
parked and called CQ, had a nice pile-up, worked about 35 stations in a half
hour. Higher bands (222, 432, 1296) activity as expected, low grid count this
year. I had a scare with my Acom 1000, my 9100 would not key amp on 6M after I
came back from the higher bands. So at around 11pm Saturday night, I was in
panic mode. I asked some of the locals for assistance, and then found the issue
Sunday morning. My RCA switch box was set on the 1296 mode, for that amp. One
button push and I was back in business, and Acom was keying. Too many
amps, radios and electronics that can go wrong. Highlight was working west coast
and being reported by the PSK reporter which was interesting. Thanks for those
had patience during the multiple band runs.
