Comments:
After 59 years in Ham Radio I am finally set up on 160, and this was my first
contest there. I didn't know quite what to expect. This resulted in me doing
more DXing and State Chasing than score maximizing or worrying about rates.
Also wanted to see how the rig and antenna performed. I was happy on all
counts. I thought Friday evening was noisier, however I worked more of my total
countries then, as well as west coast stations. On Saturday night the noise
level seemed quieter and there was more activity overall, but I was not even
hearing some of the DX stations I had heard on Friday. Still learning the
band.
