Comments:

K3CCR is the club station at the Collington continuing-care
retirement community at FM 18OW in MD, just east of DC. For
the Jan. 2016 ARRL VHF SS we were distracted by our serious
effort in the CQ WW 160 CW. So, we were only able to put in
5.5 hours, with one operator, N3UM. The good news is that
unlike Sept. ARRL VHF we had time to prepare and check out
both N1MM and the hardware on 3 bands. The AB577 supports 2
Yagis, a 9 el. on 2 m. and a 15 el. on 0.7 m. On 6 m. we
are still using the 40-m. inverted V on its 7th harmonic.

First 2 hr (19-21Z) were busy, as expected: 39 Qs in 5 grids/
10 band-grids, chatting with old friends. Then QSY to 160 m.
Sun. late AM and early PM were slow, 18 Qs plus semi-rare
grids FN28 on 6 m. and FN01 and FN00 on 2m. In a final 2.5
hrs. after supper got 16 Qs, K8GP/R on 3 bands in FM09, rare
FN30 on 2 and 0.7m., and best-DX FN31 at 270 mi. on 2 m.
