It was hard enough operating mobile, but band conditions REALLY made it tough!
Then, we had a summer nor'easter on Sunday with pelting rain and wind gusts of
45mph! Chang (band) taps on the antenna was a wet experience, so it wasn't done
often! Conditions were such that a strong signal would almost fade away (some
did!) during the exchanges...many repeats and QRS was a necessity. It was a
good workout and a good test of emergency setup.
