Comments:

This was the third year in a row that conditions have been very flat in northern
Wisconsin. There were only two instances of enhanced propagation, a spotlight
opening to southern Texas on Saturday afternoon, and an opening to CA, AZ, NM,
and CO the last half hour of the contest. Other than that the only QSOs were
short tropo QSOs to the twin cities area and a few in Wisconsin. I spent a lot
of time tuning and calling CQ into a dead band. I never worked or even heard
any of the big stations in Illinois, in spite of having the beam turned that
way for quite some time. the plus side is I did work about 10 grids I don't
have confirmed yet.

Gear: K3 plus amp about 400 watts, M**2 5 element beam at 55 ft.
