Comments:
After a Saturday morning and early afternoon shift on 40M SSB W1AW/7 at N7RT, I
was planning on operating a short early evening stint on 15M CW W1AW/7 at K8IA.
A fierce storm scuttled that plan, as Bob had to shut down and didn't resume
operating until about 6 PM, and the band would gradually diminish thereafter. I
decided to try and work all the W1AW/7 Club stations 10-80M from home, and
missed 40M CW...worked some others in between in a casual 3 hour effort.
I had a good time at Hardy's, N7RT, and also with Gary, KE7DX, despite the poor
band condx during my shift. His antenna system is nothing short of amazing, and
I'm sure the later ops had a blast as 40M opened up Saturday evening.
Kudos to the officers that organized the AOCC W1AW/7 effort, the participating
stations, and the members that manned them. When the final result is tallied,
the Club effort will be a huge success. Proud to be an Outlaw!
