Comments:

Since I missed a sweep by 2 sections in SS CW (very part-time, portable, LP
operation, using my K3) as K9MMS/8 at K0DXC's station in OH, I decided to try
for a sweep in SS Phone.

I had 79 sections (needed SB) after I shut down on Sunday morning. When I got
back on the air in the early afternoon Sunday, I was fortunate to work SB
within the first hour of searching for CA stations, and then a second SB called
me during a CQ run. Those were the only 2 SBs heard/worked.

To help maximize the chances to work a sweep, I decided to use packet assist
and the amplifier. Most years, I have run LP, unassisted in SS, and spent many
hours just tuning for mults. This was mostly S&P with a couple of short CQ
runs. Fortunately, VI, PR, and all of the Canadian sections were well
represented on the air. It was great to work multiples of all of these
sections -- including NT. Thanks to these people for providing those sections
in abundance this time.

K3, AL-811H (550 W), yagis and wires, plus Win-Test.

73,
    Gary . K9MMS
