Comments:
Didn't work the contest in a serious way. I took a lightning hit right after
the IRAU contest the weekend after the 4th of July and haven't been on the air
since. I used this contest as a "shake down" of the gear. Ended up using my
backup TS-2000 due to a blown relay in the Yaesu. Other than this all appears
back to normal.
I found the higher bands very noisy. Tried listening to 10 meters a few times
but at my QTH it was too noisy. Managed to pick up a new country for DXCC so
in my book it was a good contest.
Now if I can just get the Yaesu fixed before the next one...
